Track 3: Women Health & Palliative

Palliative Medicare is an expert in musculoskeletal dysfunction and will work with you to help you optimize function and provide pain relief during this important time in your life. Women and incontinence: Incontinence affects 15 percent of all adults and 26 percent of all women between the ages of 30 and 59. Currently, 15 to 25 million Americans suffer with incontinence. Knee joint pains in overweight and arthritis, most common are osteoarthritis and  Low Back Pain both of which are treatable occurs mostly in the age of forties and hence is a common dysfunction for all the women of this age. Pregnancy related pelvic girdle disorder occurs in 60-70% of women during their gestation period. The pelvic girdle is defined as the Palliative Sedation and the pubic symphysis (the joint in the front of the pelvis). Track 4: Neurological Rehabilitation

Neurological physical therapy, Rehabilitation after stroke is crucial because two thirds of patients suffer disability as a result of the stroke. The disability depends on the size and location of the stroke. For example, stroke in the left side of the brain tends to impair speech, comprehension of the spoken word, motor power and sensation on the right side of the body. Stroke in the right side of the brain tends to impair attention, Spinal Cord Injury, and movement and sensation on the left side of the body.

Parkinson's disease (also known as idiopathic or primary parkinsonism, hypokinetic rigid syndrome (HRS), or paralysis agitans) is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system mainly affecting the motor system. The motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease result from the death of dopamine-generating cells in the mental rehabilitation, a region of the midbrain. The cause of this cell death is poorly understood.

Track 5: Physiotherapy in Treatment & Care

Physiotherapy plays an important role in managing arthritis. It can help you to maintain independence through improving your mobility, strength and flexibility. Motor relearning theory emphasis on the practice of functional tasks and importance of relearning real-life activities for patients. Principles of learning and biomechanical analysis of movements and tasks are important. Ultrasound therapy is applied using Joint Replacement or applicator that is in direct contact with the patient's skin. Gel is used on all surfaces of the head to reduce friction and assist transmission of the ultrasonic waves. Post-Operative Pain is alternating compression and rarefaction of sound waves with a frequency of >20,000 cycles/second which diagnose the particular nonfunctioning organs and defects occurring in the body.

Track 6: Physiotherapy Methods and Instrumentation Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilizations or Simply IASTM is a new range of tool which enables clinicians to efficiently locate and treat individuals diagnosed with soft tissue Aquatic physical therapy. The technique itself is said to be a modern evolution from Traditional Chinese Medicine called GuaSha. However GuaSha was not used to treat Musculoskeletal conditions but was traditionally applied along meridiens to move the Nociceptive Pain out through the skin. IASTM is a is a procedure that is rapidly growing in popularity due to its effectiveness and efficiency while remaining non-invasive, with its own indications and limitations, healthcare provider.

Track 8: Sports & Physiotherapy

Sports Physiotherapy is the specialized branch of physiotherapy which deals with injuries and issues related to sports people. Sports injuries do differ to everyday injuries. Athletes normally require high level performance and demand placed upon their body, which stresses their muscles, joints and bones to the limit. Sports physiotherapists help athletes recover from sporting injuries, and provide education and resources to prevent problems. Each sports physiotherapist usually has sport-specific knowledge that addresses acute, chronic and over-use injuries. Their services are generally available to sports men and women of all ages engaged in sports at any level of competition.

In the Australia the physiotherapy profession has transitioned to doctoral education and the attributes of a doctoring profession.

Since 24 September 2014, Physiotherapists and podiatrists are allowed to prescribe medicines in UK, following suitable training, they are able to give their patients medication such as pain-killers and anti-inflammatory. It means that podiatrists and physiotherapists will no longer have to refer their patients to a GP or other doctor.

A Europe-wide agreement has made physiotherapists and doctors equal partners in the delivery of quality healthcare.

Exercises are instrumental tool in keeping us healthy. Just like your car, our bodies need regular maintenance to perform optimally. Physical therapy improves strength, balance, mobility, and overall fitness as well as injury prevention and treatment. Physical therapists help you restore and improve motion to achieve long-term quality of life.

Importance and Scope:  Physiotherapy provides services to individuals and populations to develop, maintain, restore and optimise health and function throughout the lifespan. This includes providing services to people compromised by ageing, injury, disease or environmental factors. Physiotherapy identifies and maximises quality of life and movement potential by using the principles of promotion, prevention, treatment/intervention, habilitation and rehabilitation. This encompasses physical, psychological, emotional, and social well being.

The Physiotherapy Services industry has benefited from Australia's ageing population and rising private health insurance coverage over the past five years. Many baby boomers have reached retirement age and are becoming more susceptible to injuries that require physiotherapy. Physiotherapy services have also become more affordable for households over the past five years, as disposable incomes have grown. Industry revenue is forecast to rise at an annualised 3.5% over the five years through 2016-17, to reach $1.6 billion. Slightly lower revenue growth of 2.8% is forecast for the current year

The practice of physiotherapy is not confined to clinical practice, and encompasses all roles that a physiotherapist may assume such as patient/client care, health management, research, policy making, educating and consulting, wherever there may be an issue of public health and safety. The Physical Theraphy Rehabilitation Centers industry is composed of both inpatient and outpatient therapy facilities that provide physical, speech pathology and occupational therapy services. In the five years to 2015, the industry has experienced revenue growth as a result of the aging population and increasing acceptance of the benefits of physical theraphy  services. The number of adults aged 65 and older has also helped support industry revenue growth during the period because seniors are more likely to require physical theraphy  services because of the increased prevalence of injuries, illnesses and chronic conditions in that age group. The industry has also benefited from the expansion of healthcare coverage under the Affordable Care Act. Over the five years to 2015, industry revenue is expected to increase at an annualized rate of 1.2% to $ 29.1 billion, including an increase of 0.9% in 2015 alone.
